Tópico: como liberar uma porta ?

Olá pessoal, bom não tenho nenhum tipo de conhecimento de linux, comecei a mexer ontem nesse sistema.

Estou com um probleminha aqui que queria que me ajudasem, preciso liberar uma porta 2084

pesquisei na net e tava usando este comando :

iptables -t filter -A INPUT -p tcp -i eth0 --dport 2084 -j ACCEPT

porem não funcionou, daria para me explicar como libero esta porta.?

Desde já agradeço galera.

Amigo, nem sei que é isso que vc me pediu para postar, sou totalmente burro em linux.


foi assim istalei na maquina aqui, o FEDORA CORE. ai coloquei um programa aqui que rodou legal so que para ter o acesso ele precisa desta porta. Entrei em contato com o suporter do programa e ele disse que é so liberar esta porta e pronto.

como vejo essas regras de firewall ?

Nossa to tão perdido que vc nem faz ideia.

da um iptables -L
isso lista todas as suas regras do firewall
assim fica mais facil te ajudar

fera não me leva a mal mais da uma lida sobre iptables

assim vc limpa todas as regras
a e vc naum ta bloquenado a porta 2084

funcionou 100 % agora.
muito obrigado.

Agora neste final de semana vou ler umas documentações sobre o linux, é que isto tava precisando urgente .
