Saida de TV em notebook

Alguem conseguiu fazer a saida de TV de um notebook funcionar?
eu tenho um dv4000 da HP, e estou utilizando o Kubuntu a pouco tempo ...
Esta tudo funcionando beleza, o unico problema é que quando preciono FN+F4 o video não chaveia entre a tela do note, e saida de TV como funcionava no windows :(
alguma dica para fazer isto funcionar?

Cara, tenho o mesmo notebook que vc, mesmo modelo. Lembro-me que já consegui fazer isso mas foi tudo automatico com o ubuntu.
Não tive que mexer em nada.

Mas não sei por que a qualidade ficou horrível... imagem realmente...horrível.
testei no ruindow$ e a imágem tb ficou ruim.

Não sei se isso eh normal mas... desisti.

Ah.. outra coisa. Eu sempre tive que rebootar ou pelo menos restartar o X com os cabos já ligados.

Liga tudo ai, na tv e no note e reboota ele. depois tenta ligar ai do teclado.

bahh, eu vou tentar novamente rebootando o micro com os cabos ja ligados, e vou baixar um iso do ubuntu pra ver se nele funciona ...
mas rebootar o micro pra isto é chinelagem demais :S

tem que ter uma forma decente de fazer isto no linux :S

A imagem funfo bem no wiodows? tipo, a resoluçao e tudo mais..

Sim, muda a resolução da tv automático (des de que se escolha extender o desktop e não mirror, caso contrario a tela na TV fica com scroll ...

eu usava isto bastante para assistir os filmes baixados da rede :D

(lógico, a resolução da TV não vai ficar a mesma do monitor do note, pois a resolução suportada pela TV é muuito menor :D )
