Estou configurando o Proftp num Servidor de Testes rodando o red hat 7.3 com squid e na hora de ativar o proftpd da a seguinte msg
Fatal : unable to determine ip to ip address ´200-205-189-214.braslink.com.br´?
Este problema é devido a maquina estar com esta nome??
Alguma sugestão para resolver este problema?? <IMG SRC="images/forum/icons/icon_mad.gif">
vc pode fazer uma gambiarra pra parar com esse erro edito o /etc/hosts
e dentro dele coloque
200.205.189.214 200-205-189-214.braslink.com.br apelido

num eh possivel conectar como anonimo.... certifique-se q no arquivo /etc/ftpusers
num tenha nem o ususario anonymous nem o ftp, e veja configuração do seu ftp...
Não tenho os usuários no /etc/ftpusers mais estou mandando o meu arq. de configuração vc pode analisar e ver o q esta de errado?

Brincadeira isso foi feito só pra testes internos
E mais uma coisa eu tentei me conectar denovo com o usuario centerlider q eh um alias pra anonymous e ele num deixou, alias ele achou q o usuario existe... um alias pra anonyous num pode existir no /etc/passwd !!!!
Blz não há nenhuma alias no /etc/passwd vou fazer um teste e vou ver o q acontece
mas toma cuidado hein... num deve ter os usarios anonyous e o centerlider!!!! tem q ter o usuario ftp q eh ele q roda o servidor de ftp hein!!!

Muda no seu proftpd.conf de: ´<Anonymous ~ftp>´ para: <Anonymous /home/ftp> e restarta o seu servidor ftp.
Parece meio maluco isso, mas pra mim tava dando o mesmo erro conforme escrito acima, ae qdo eu alterei o ´~ftp´ para ´/home/ftp´, acessou blz !!!
Essa foi boa... realmente naum entendi... pra mim era a mesma coisa...hehe

Ah ha.... Agora descobri o pq naum funciona o ´~ftp´ !!!!
Da uma olhada no ´home directory´ do usuario ftp <IMG SRC="images/forum/icons/icon_eek.gif"> ... acho q ae pra vc deve estar como ´/var/ftp´... por isso q ta dando permissao negada.

E Elvis essa foi uma boa dica, pode funcionar com isso!!! eh jah q esse eh um diretorio pra anonimo tb da um chmod -R 777 /home/ftp ou seja lah qual for o home do usuario

Que tipo de permissão seria ideal eu dar para anonymous em /home/ftp, ja que eu soh quero disponibilizar o servidor apenas para downloads???

e digitei o seguinte comando.
chmod -R 777 /home/ftp

Portanto estou tentando me logar na estação Windows com o programa WS_FTP95LE, e quando eu coloco a configuração para acessar o meu server linux como sendo OPEN PROXY ele me retorna a seguinte mensagem.

Bind <seu ip da internet>
e restarta o teu server novamente.
OBS.: CASO FUNCIONE, VC TERÁ Q PAGAR UM BARRIL DE CHOPS PARA O NOSSO AMIGO HOMEM DO GELO (Ic3_M4N)... Devido inumeras tentativas sem sucesso para efetuar mais testes resolvi usar o Cute ftp pro e como sempre erro .
Conectando ao host firewall.

Cara alguém tem alguma sugestão(Leitura de algum artigo,livros ou coisas sobrenaturais) pois foi um puta trampo pra convencer o Analista para usarmos Linux e o individuo não aguenta mais este problema .
