Rede wireless no Suse 11.0

Estava com o Kurumin NG instalado e pelo motivo de não conseguir aumentar a resolução de tela formatei e instalei o Suse 11.0 que reconheceu tudo perfeitamente e até subia a resolução de tela, mas estou tendo problema na configuração da rede wireless, pois não aparece listada as rede ao alcance e se insiro manualmente, não conecta. Se alguém souber como solucionar o problema fico agradecido, pois estou trocando de distro para ver se alguma se enquadra no meu notebook, pois pretendo usar somente linux nele.
