Squid embaixo de squid

Olá,
Acesso a internet via um proxy localizado em uma outra.
Pensamos em colocar um proxy em nossa rede na intenção de agilizar e manter algumas paginas "cacheadas''.
Ambos são SQUID.
Configurei o meu para fazer um cache_peer no outro do seguinte modo:

O que acontece é que ou ele demora muito para carregar certas paginas, ou dah time out. Noto que ele não abre preferencialmente páginas de email (penso ser por causa de SSL). Meu proxy remoto está configurado para receber acessos na porta 80.
Se alguém tiver uma dica eu agradeeço... Valeu. :clap:
