Erro ao iniciar ntop

Pessoal, instalei o ntop em um servidor com Centos. Porém, quando executo o comando ntop apresenta o seguinte erro:

você instalou a libpcap?

Sim, instalei este e o libpcap-devel.

'dev' você instala quando vai compilar a aplicação.

procure algo como pcap, ou só libpcap.

Uso debian e certa vez tive problemas ao iniciar o ntop (/etc/init.d/ntop start) porém encontrei a seguinte solução:

Executei primeiramente no terminal

# ntop

Foram criadas todas as dependências de configuração e então depois passou a levantar o serviço normalmente.

Faça o teste.
