Padrão vsftpd no Red Hat Enterprise Linux ...

    [root@dbserver root]#
500 OOPS: could not bind listening IPv4 socket
    -bash: 500: command not found

    alguém poderia me ajudar?

    é mostrada a seguinte msg:

    root@dbserver sbin]# pwd
    /usr/local/sbin
    [root@dbserver sbin]# vsftpd &
    [1] 5121
500 OOPS: could not bind listening IPv4 socket
    [root@dbserver sbin]#

    o que pode estar ocorrendo?

    demiurgo,

    Não deu certo ...

Eu peguei o rpm que esta no disco 1 de instalação do RH EL AS 3

Sistema: Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS Release 3 (Taroon)
    Kernel 2.4.21-4.EL on an i868

Minha máquina: PIV, 512RAM HD 80GB

    rpm do disco: vsftpd-1.2.0-4.i386.rpm

    [root@dbserver vsftpd]# pwd
    /etc/vsftpd

    #
    # The default compiled in settings are fairly paranoid. This sample file
    # loosens things up a bit, to make the ftp daemon more usable.
    # Please see vsftpd.conf.5 for all compiled in defaults.
    #
