para configurar... man raidtools lá tem um modelo do arquivo que vc vai ter que criar... /etc/raidtab

Amigo, eu uso o Slack10 com raid, e ele já vem com a instalação full.
Procure no seu CD e instale:
installpkg raid...

estou usando o slackware 10
com instalação full do mesmo;
man raidtools
man raidtab
man raidstart
man raidstop
man raidhotadd
no man raidtools tem o exemplo de como vc deve configurar o /etc/raidtab para teu raid funcionar corretamente, e esse arquivo deve ser configurado manualmente.
no link abaixo teu um tutorial de como configurar o raidtools, lembrando que vc consegue fazer raid 0 e raid 1 tanto no mesmo hd, como em hd´s separados e também em direfentes filesystems...
